Who Was Adrianne Jones?
Adrianne Jones wasn’t just any high schooler. She was a standout track star, an honors student, and a “superstar employee” at the local fried chicken restaurant. Her teachers adored her, her classmates admired her, and her family—especially her strict but loving father, Bill—kept a close watch over her.
But behind Adrianne’s bubbly charm and teenage flirtations lay an unthinkable fate, one fueled by a dark love triangle she never fully saw coming. This is episode 200 of “Shaken and Disturbed.”
The Cadets: David Graham and Diane Zamora
David Graham appeared to be the perfect young man: respectful, smart, and bound for the U.S. Air Force Academy. Diane Zamora was just as driven—a National Honor Society member with dreams of becoming an astronaut. The two met through Civil Air Patrol and quickly developed a relationship so intense, it became toxic.
By fall 1995, they were engaged. And when David confessed to Diane that he had been unfaithful—claiming to have had sex with Adrianne—it sparked a deadly plan.
The Murder of Adrianne Jones
On December 3, 1995, David called Adrianne under the guise of needing to talk. She snuck out after curfew, unaware Diane was hiding in the trunk of David’s car. What followed was a horrifying sequence of events: a failed attempt to snap Adrianne’s neck, blunt force trauma from a dumbbell, and finally—two gunshots to the head.
Adrianne’s body was discovered the next day in a field by a farmer. The community mourned, and police began chasing down leads—but no one suspected the star cadets.

The Shocking Confession
It wasn’t until nearly a year later—when Diane started her freshman year at the U.S. Naval Academy—that the case broke wide open. Diane confessed to her roommates that David had killed Adrianne to prove his love. She even showed them a typed confession from David.
Authorities were alerted, and Diane cracked under pressure during questioning. Both Diane and David were arrested and charged with Adrianne’s murder. Diane pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 35 years. David received life in prison.
Legacy and Aftermath
The murder of Adrianne Jones remains one of Texas’s most chilling cases involving teenage obsession and control. The Jones family continues to honor Adrianne’s life by spreading awareness about teen violence and coercive relationships.
David Graham and Diane Zamora, once golden cadets with bright futures, are now forever remembered not for their promise—but for their brutality.
